Founded in 2006, Thompson Landry Gallery has become a cornerstone of Toronto’s cultural landscape, known for its dedication to fostering long-term relationships with artists and presenting work that resonates with both local and international audiences. Over the past 20 years, the gallery has played an important role in introducing collectors to emerging and established Canadian talent, while cultivating a space where art is both accessible and meaningful. The 20th Anniversary Exhibitions bring together artists whose practices have been integral to the gallery’s evolution. Each artist offers a distinct perspective, spanning a range of styles and mediums—from expressive abstraction to richly detailed figurative work—creating a vibrant dialogue that reflects the diversity and depth of contemporary Canadian art today. Set within the gallery’s signature 19th-century stone and timber space in Toronto’s Distillery Historic District, the exhibitions invite visitors to experience the artwork in a setting that mirrors the gallery’s philosophy—one that blends history with contemporary vision.
